Apple crisp is one of those super easy, super tasty desserts that most people love. This recipe was a fun variation because it’s grain free. I have no problem with oatmeal, but enjoy cutting out grains when possible so I can feed it to my kids guilt-free.
This recipe is paleo, grain-free, and vegan. Win! I will say that with the granny smith apples and adding no sugar, this was mouth-puckering. I don’t mind a little added sugar, so the next time I make it I’ll switch out to a sweeter apple and throw in a 1/4 cup of raw sugar to boot. Overall the flavor notes were delicious and this recipe is well worth the time.
